World Book Day
We love bedtime stories! To celebrate World Book Day, we wore our pyjamas, brought our favourite book and read some to our friends and told them why we liked that book so much. We visited Linnet class and we shared books together and listened to some fantastic stories throughout the day. We think everyone should enjoy a good story before bed!
As part of our topic, Mystery, we found out about Ancient Egypt in class, visited The British Museum and even had an Egyptian day. We dressed up and tried our hand at mummification. It’s pretty gruesome!
We designed, made and played our own maths games. We used great teamwork to think of, test out and create our games. We’ve enjoyed playing them during green time.
In DT and Science we’ve been investigating structures as part of our work on the Eiffel Tower. We’ve been experimenting to see which shapes are strong, how to build a bridge that won’t collapse and even had a competition to see who could build the tallest newspaper tower. There are definitely some future engineers and architects in Pipit class.
